This is a support group for single African American men and women of all ages, who are concerned their children and grand-children are losing or have lost their true identity. We have the highest rate of single parent households than any other group. Our children lag behind in academics. We have a higher incidence of illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, hypertension. Little Black Village is a dedicated to discussing and exploring ways of keeping our black youth from dropping out of high school and encouraging them in seeking higher education. It is also a venue to encourage and support our black youth in exploring and venturing outside of the United States though programs such as study aboard or organization such as the Peace Corps as means to learning other cultures.
